Efficient use of information technology is critical to the delivery of the firm’s services to clients. James’s role as IT Manager is therefore a demanding and vital one. James’s responsibilities include secure data management, on-line delivery to clients and data transfer links with third party organisations.
The firm became ‘paperless’ in December 2007 resulting in the majority of dealing and settlement of trades in investments, including documentation, being undertaken electronically.
Development of IT utilisation continues under James’s supervision.
Career History:
After gaining a degree in Computer Science at Hull University James worked for an international electric components distributor for several years, providing a UK support role for over 100 users. He joined Cartlidge Morland in 2006 and in addition to carrying out his professional role, has ensured that his knowledge of computer software and systems stays up-to-date by continually adding to his qualifications.
