Employee Benefits -> What Makes Us Special? -> Inv. Service Pension Scheme Members

A pension policy or scheme is an investment for the employee concerned and for most employees, accrued pension benefits will represent their largest personal investment, other than main residence.

With the proposed introduction of personal accounts the provision of investment advice to scheme members has become a major legislative and regulatory concern.  Employers and pension trustees could face potential liability if they fail to provide access to advice.

The Cartlidge Morland solution is our ‘unique’ portfolio service for pension scheme members.  Our investment management division constructs a series of portfolios to accommodate the differing levels of risk employees are prepared to accept, and their time horizons.

These portfolios are reviewed and altered (potentially) on a six-monthly basis.  Scheme members are contacted by email and invited to consent to the recommended alterations in order to keep their pension portfolios in line with the standard portfolio they have selected.  They email their consent back to our administrative team for implementation.

Our client surveys tell us that this is one of the most highly valued aspects of our employee benefits service by both employers and scheme members.
